My story

My story

I am originally from Reunion Island, where I discovered BMX at a very young age. It was there that I built my first sporting and personal foundations. BMX quickly became more than just a sport: a framework, a passion, a direction.

At 15, I left Reunion Island to move to mainland France and join a sports-study program dedicated to BMX. This choice represented a first turning point: living far from my family, adapting to a new environment and dedicating myself fully to performance.

---------------

A few years later, I joined the French BMX Training Center , where I trained from 2015 to 2021 at the National Cycling Center in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines , the site of the 2024 Olympic Games. It was there that I built a large part of my high-level career and developed the skills that allowed me to progress on the international stage.

----------------

In 2016 , a serious injury interrupted my progress. The forced rest was a pause in my career, but also the starting point for an ambitious project: creating my own BMX brand.
This is how SPAD was born, a name inspired by rider jargon, but also a nod to my native island. Roland-Garros Airport is named after the famous aviator who piloted a SPAD , an iconic warplane. An obvious parallel: the BMX, like this aircraft, is a machine built for action, for going on missions and striving for performance.

------------------

In 2024, a new challenge arose with the announcement of a cancer diagnosis. This period put my career on hold, but after several months of treatment and a complete remission, I resumed training with a structured approach and a clear objective: to return to the highest level.
My current ambition is to qualify for the 2027 BMX World Championships , which will be held in France.

My journey has been marked by several defining moments: Reunion Island, sports studies, the French National Training Center, a major injury, entrepreneurship, illness, and recovery. Each phase has contributed to shaping the athlete I am today.
